Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee was on Wednesday suspended from the Lok Sabha for the remainder of the ongoing Monsoon Session after two women MPs complained to Speaker Om Birla that he had allegedly used abusive language against them. Following the suspension, Banerjee was barred from entering the House premises for the rest of the session. He was later taken to meet Speaker Om Birla by fellow Trinamool Congress MPs for a hearing regarding the matter.
